This Christmas...

This Christmas is our first Christmas here in Maui. Last Christmas morning we were flying to Utah to be by Opa's side. Kaya is super excited for Santa to come and keeps getting into some of the presents under the tree!

Someone I'm looking up to.

My Sister Elena,

When think of my sister i think strong, beautiful, changed, kind, and Loving she doesn't know it but she has helped me overcome things in my life that i never thought i could, just by showing me the perfect example of patience. both of my sisters are special to me Sophie helps me learn things about my daughter that i didn't know. and of course my two super hero brothers Bubba and Josh i love my family very much and feel so privileged to be a part of the Vel family:)

Our Family

As you all know we have been married now for 2 1/2 years and have a beautiful daughter Kaya we all love each other very much. This last year has been wonderful from Kaya's first birthday to going to Disney world with my parents. we also had a wonderful family reunion in California with Darin's family and got to know each other more and create special memories together. Kaya had her first Giants game! we love living in Maui I grew up in a big town where you met someone new everyday, so its nice to go to the bank and see all your friends there so I'm liking the small town feel plus the whole fun in the sun paradise doesn't hurt either. Darin and I are doing so well and we feel we have something really special together... so that's our thoughts on this last year hope every one has a wonderful Christmas.

Two Steppin' Toddler

El gato gorda

We added a new member to our family. Her name is Roxy. We thought about naming her Beguira because my family called me Mowgli when I was younger. She is a sweet cat that never gets mad when Kaya pulls her tail. She came from the Maui jungle to the sweet Ramos paradise where she can eat and sleep as much as she wants.

Where we work...

This past year has been an exciting year with lots of ups and downs. Maui has been hit really hard by the slowing economy but we still manage to stay optimistic and continue to learn more and more about business. We have added some exciting new motorcycles to our rental fleet which have really helped bring in new business, and should help get Roelof and Josh out to Maui. (thanks for the insperation!)
